Le Petit Marcel Description:
This offshoot of Bistro Laurent serves up al fresco lunches on the bistro's patio (inside during inclement winter weather), giving chef Laurent Grangien the chance to offer a more casual French dining experience. Traditional dishes such as croque monsieur, French onion soup and crispy pommes frites are always available, but also look for seasonal dishes like tomato basil soup, pasta with winter mushrooms, and desserts featuring fresh fruits and house-made ice creams and sorbets. Other entrée options might include a pork tenderloin sandwich topped with a local goat cheese, a sausage and kalamata olive pizza, or a flat-iron steak with peppercorn sauce. Gourmet palates will be pleasantly surprised with the rabbit, escargots, and sweetbreads that pop up from time-to-time. As for wines to go with this casual fare, guests enjoy the same great list as Bistro Laurent. Service is attentive and deliberate, so don't count on a fast lunch, but the food is worth the wait.
