Pat's Bar & Grill Description:
Pat's is a popular place for athletic types, who refuel after activity in nearby Forest Park---especially post-softball league games. The interior of the fifties-ish bar and grill hasn't changed much over the years, despite having had a series of owners. Kids usually go for burgers; adults should consider fried chicken or, even better, crisp-crusted chicken livers. Longtime regulars may mourn the loss of fried brain sandwiches and fried whiting (jack salmon), but there are still plenty of crave-satisfying options, frogs' legs, chili mac, toasted ravioli and fried chicken among them. (Yes, we mentioned that last one already, but it's worth repeating.) Save room for cakes from Sugaree Baking. Upstairs, there's a game and music room with its own bar that can be booked for private events.
