Seamus Mc Daniel's Description:
The first thing you see when you walk in this corner tavern is a forest of tap handles on the bar and scores of pint glasses stacked along the mirror. Come in a few steps more, and you realize the bar is small---most of those craft beers on tap are going into the dining rooms or patio, where it's a colorful riot of neighborhood families, birthday revelers, octogenarians out with their buddies and workers who've just ended their shift at the nearby hospital. Service is brisk but food is made to order, so the pace is leisurely. The St. Louis classic Provel cheese is present in force---on the Seamus salad, most of the chicken dishes and even the deep-fried veggies. Saturday's prime rib special, a huge cut, is served with a twice-baked potato and nothing else, a poster dish for the straightforward meals Seamus' patrons like.
