Imo's Pizza Description:
The tall neon chef greeting folks at this Imo's is probably the only one of his kind. The chain normally eschews such frills, but this corner location of the classic St. Louis pizza provider even has a real dining room. St. Louis-style pizza causes no ambivalence---it's either loved or hated. Key components are a cracker-thin crust, square pieces, a sweet-tangy tomato sauce and gobs of Provel cheese (a gooey, tooth-sticking combination of cheddar, Swiss and provolone that's unique to St. Louis). House salads, festooned with more of the same cheese, are simple but not bad, except for the sweet house dressing. Provel also features heavily in the pastas and sandwiches, and it does melt nicely over salsiccia.
