Dressel's Pub Description:
After nearly three decades, Dressel's has settled into its persona, a comfy hangout where the paneled walls are covered with drawings of classical poets, composers and some Welsh heroes, too. The customers, like the Central West End neighborhood the pub calls home, are a variegated crew from all generations, professions, sexual persuasions and social brackets. And there are plenty of regulars among them. The kitchen has perfected Welsh chips---potato chips, what the Welsh would call crisps---and they're delightful, especially with malt vinegar. That is, unless you're foolish enough to eat them cold. Soups and sandwiches are generally good, namely the burgers, but many people still gurgle over the stockpot, a stew du jour that sometimes falls short of its mark. The comfortable upstairs room, the Pub Above, doesn't serve food but is still worth a visit for its resemblance to a British public house.
