Cedars Description:
On busy restaurant row, Cedars is never packed, but the patrons know authentic Middle Eastern cuisine and come from miles around to savor garlicky hummus, traditional grape leaves, and deep-fried falafel and kibbeh. We also suggest the tender lamb, beef and chicken kebabs. Friendly, efficient service and a spotless dining room make the meal a pleasure. If you're not a fan of the aromatic spices, there's classic shrimp scampi, sautéed in butter and lemon and topped with fresh cilantro, garlic and wine sauce. For big appetites, you can't beat the gyro platter with rotisserie meat piled high on fresh, warm pita bread with tomatoes, onions and cucumber sauce. And vegetarians will find plenty to like, from tabbouleh salad and eggplant spread to generous spinach pies. If you want to see the talented belly dancer, make plans to dine Saturday night at 10 p.m., the only time there's a show---and the only night you might need a reservation.
