The chain restaurant's casually elegant interior is inspired by famed chef Roy Yamaguchi's Hawaiian roots---an open kitchen, tile floors, exposed wood and woven sea grass ceiling, handcrafted wrought iron and bright red and yellow fabrics. Beautiful Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai sauces enhance Roy's signature culinary creations, like blackened ahi, roasted macadamia nut mahi mahi or butterfish in a sizzling soy vinaigrette. Yamaguchi devotes a good deal of time to his wine lists, featuring rare and unusual selections, many produced and bottled exclusively for Roy's to pair with the culinary creations.
