Figaro Bistrot Description:
If not for the English voices and the regrettably unmemorable food, you'd swear this little bistro was in the heart of the fifth arrondissement, thanks to a gorgeous 150-year-old stained glass ceiling, authentic zinc bar and Art Nouveau lighting fixtures. Unfortunately, the erratic cooking tends to dampen our enthusiasm for this otherwise delightful place. The best bet is to stick to tried-and-true bistro favorites, such as the escargots Bourgogne, rotisserie chicken and entrecote (with Roquefort or peppercorn sauce), served with better-than-average pommes frites. We've enjoyed the duck confit here, only to be disappointed on subsequent visits.
