Blue Point Bar & Grill, The Description:
The Blue Point is popular year round, but reservations for the in-season are a must-have for what might be one of your best meals in Duck. Renovations enlarged the entire space, added new seating venues such as the screened porch and affording a longer, elegant bar in an overall retro urban setting. Priding itself on a Southern-inspired, seasonal menu, the culinary team puts forth impressive meals at both lunch and dinner. Cornmeal-crusted Southern fried catfish and pan-fried Carolina jumbo lump crab cakes can be had at either meal along with starters like the Carolina she-crab soup and, our favorite, the baby iceberg wedge with buttermilk blue cheese and sweet pecans. For dinner, we recommend the ceppo pasta with Carolina shrimp, smoked sausage, tomatoes, spinach and sweet corn or the grilled White Marble Farms pork chop with mac 'n' cheese. A snack menu is featured at the bar with pimiento cheese, sweet 'n' spicy barbecue nuts and deviled crab dip. To finish, linger over Key lime pie, Southern pecan pie or a cheese board while enjoying the sunset over Currituck Sound.
