Mie N Yu Description:
The world's revered dining cultures have come together in Mie N Yu, a provocative restaurant that brings the tastes of the far reaches of the world to historic Georgetown.
Dine or lounge in rich and varied settings from the plush daybeds and lanterns of the Turkish tent to the silk and brocade-lined dining nooks of the Moroccan Bazaar.
Mie N Yu's culinary artists combine flavors from all over the world including Asia, North Africa, the Mediterranean and the Americas. These distinctive combinations along with traditional American classics make the menu one of a kind.
This hip G'town destination is part wonderland and part restaurant. The creation of someone with a staggering imagination, it's a restaurant of many parts---that is, many separate dining areas decked out to represent different ethnic experiences. The Turkish Tent is a room swathed in wall hangings and carpeted with colorful area rugs; for seating, patrons can lounge on pillow-laden banquettes or sit upright on small stools. Either way, they can lunch or dine leisurely with a menu that represents cuisines from the ancient Silk Road countries, with dishes infused with modern American touches. A lunchtime meal may include Chinese pot stickers filled with a creamy crab mixture, a Moroccan meatball sandwich paired with a soba noodle salad, and a rather meager square of cheesecake, a special for the day. The kitchen serves a truly robust French-press coffee.
