Serving French bistro cuisine throughout the day and night, Bistro Francais offers two dining rooms set in a dark wood and etched glass ambiance.
Sunday brunch features unlimited champange, salad and an entree for $18.99.
Early bird dinner specials include a glass of house wine, a salad, mussels or moouse, an entree from the special list and desert for $19.99. The early bird is also available from 10pm to 1am.
Around midnight, when most restaurants have closed, this very French Georgetown institution is likely to be full of chefs eating a midnight dinner of steak frites or rotisserie chicken. Settle into one of the two dining rooms: pressed-tin ceilings and plenty of etched glass set against dark wood and further enhanced by French posters from the '30s. Choose from a set menu that offers all the bistro standards, from onion soup to a salad garnished with a warm confit of duck gizzards. Daily specials might include roasted duck leg confit with garlic potatoes, roast pork with a potato gratin, pot-au-feu or Moroccan-style couscous.
