Porch Restaurant Description:
The Porch typifies Dallas---lots of table-hopping, lots of people-watching and lots of beef---all served up in a casual pre-fab faux funky tavern. The over-the-top Stodg Burger, named after a local, is a bombshell of beef, fried egg and duck foie gras with piles of crisp onions and tomatoes making for a decadent mess of a sandwich. The braised short rib Stroganoff with brown-butter Parmesan noodles makes for a down-home experience. But the house-made pâté---a creamy chicken and foie gras number that somehow manages to be earthy and ethereal at the same time---touts the menu's flair. Portions are huge, and ordering more than one dessert per table is unnecessary.
