Cleveland ChopHouse and Brewery Description:
If you didn't know better, you might believe this restaurant was left over from the 1940s. The all-American supper-club feeling is apparent throughout, down to the menu that features steaks, chops and house-made beer along with a few salads and sandwiches. Vegetarians need not panic, though, as they can find some refuge in appetizers, such as grilled portobello mushrooms, onion soup, onion rings and roasted vegetable pizza. Enjoy a variety of grilled favorites, from filet mignon Oscar served with crab and béarnaise, to the Iowa pork chop, a 12-ounce, bone-in beauty that's stuffed with Fontina and sage. Also not to be forgotten is the full-pound, herb-crusted rack of lamb that's wood-grilled and served with peach-chipotle chutney. Everything at the ChopHouse is oversize: high ceilings, big booths, large portions, huge silverware and a good-size bill for your good-size meal.
