Blue Pointe Grille boasts a distinct nautical theme throughout, but you won't find any tired fishnets or weathered oars---the vibe is more yacht than rowboat. Not surprisingly, seafood reaches to every corner of the menu. A starter of fresh lump blue crab cake (with no filler), served with homemade honey mustard and slaw, gives way to a host of elegant, simply prepared entrées. Case in point: Nag's Head grouper, crab topped filet and shrimp and scallops. Many of the dishes come accompanied with the restaurant's famous lobster mashed potatoes. To impress the tables around you, get the chilled seafood tower, consisting of Alaskan king crab legs, chilled shrimp cocktail, blue point oysters, Jonah crab claws and lobster salad. The martini list is creative and impressive and the wine list is extensive, but plan to pay for the privilege of such a plentiful selection.
