Nauti Mermaid Description:
Modeled after a Key West crab shack, The Nauti Mermaid is a cozy place. The walls are covered with sea-aged wood planks, which are then splattered with multicolored Christmas lights, fishnets, buoys and pictures of fishermen (just in case you didn't get the idea). More impressive than the kitschy touches, though, is the rotating, diverse selection of microbrews and regional ales available on tap. As for the menu, it's solid without being pretentious. The salmon gyro, crispy beer-battered cod and tilapia tacos are prepared with imagination and verve but are served in paper-lined plastic baskets. A spot for industry folk from other local hot-spots, the Mermaid keeps the drafts flowing late into the night.
