Sushi Wabi Description:
There's nothing but good stuff going on inside this River West restaurant, which delivers countless topnotch rolls in chic, lounge-like digs with dark blue and silver walls, techno music and Japanese cartoons projected on the wall. There's a varied selection of hot appetizers, including an asparagus beef roll, gyoza and tempura. But most of the diners opt for platters of rolls, which range from more complicated numbers (the tasty white tiger, consisting of tuna, hamachi, salmon, asparagus, avocado, cucumber, jalapeño, scallions, tempura flakes, wasabi mayo and cilantro) to the basic California and spicy tuna. A BYOB policy and early-bird specials mean more money in your wallet, but be prepared to wait if you show up during peak hours.
