Cuchi Cuchi Description:
Cuchi Cuchi offers a hodge-podge of a menu in an eclectic space, all thrown together by owners Barbara Dollar, Tamara Bourso and Fernanda da Silva for the sake of good times. Strawberry-basil martinis, blood-orange sidecars and grapefruit gimlets kick off a potluck of so-called international small plates. The menu is divided into categories like Waterfront, Game and Unclassified and offers such odd bedfellows as Mexican deep-fried tomatoes, mushroom-filled blini, and Cuban-style short ribs and shrimp wontons without batting an eye. Beyond the 40-foot-long bar, the dining rooms reflect shabby chic, abounding in Victorian tiles, stained glass and antiques, and Middle Eastern accents. Waits are long, though a few potent cocktails make the lines seem shorter.
