This branch of a Melrose Avenue favorite serves traditional Argentine cooking in a small, bustling room illuminated with colorful hand-painted ceiling panels, while earth-tone walls show off modern art. It's a casual yet slightly trendy setting in which to enjoy some topnotch empanadas, chorizo and milanesas. However, the plato mixto (parillada) may provide somewhat tough steak and sweetbreads. Traditional crêpes filled with dulce de leche make a satisfying finale.
