The Black Cow Description:
Established in 1993, this café has become an all-day destination. Early in the morning, beginning at 6 a.m., locals pop in to the coffee bar for a cup of joe and a freshly-made muffin or cookie. It isn't unusual to find the same crowd returning for lunch and dinner to sample Black Cow's all-American menu. Appetizers are highlighted by the café's signature three-bean chili with homemade cornbread and potato skins, crab cakes and fried calamari. Black Cow's most popular entrées can best be described as stick-to-your-ribs. Think oven-roasted turkey with apple-sage stuffing, home-style meatloaf with mashed potatoes, and pork loin with orange barbecue sauce. Not to fret if you've got a lighter appetite, there are also salads, sandwiches and grilled chicken dishes on the menu.
