Close to the Syrian border in southern Turkey (near the town of Antakya--see separate paragraph), this well-preserved 16th-century Turkish town features a mosque, covered market, a caravanserai and the Cinkulesi (castle). Most people visit it as a side trip from Antakya. 300 mi/480 km southeast of Ankara.
