Plan B Description:
More than just a burger joint or local watering hole, this restaurant is a haven for anyone who enjoys quality handcrafted burgers or microbrews. After all, the staff takes both very seriously. Over 40 beers, including many regional and hard-to-find microbrews, should satisfy just about any hops connoisseur. Meanwhile, burger prep has been elevated to a near-religion here: patties are freshly ground and hand-shaped in-house daily (one of Plan B's slogans is "Never a Perfectly Round Burger"); toppings---including American cheese and adventurous add-ons like avocados and fried eggs---come from local suppliers. Since Plan B is Plan A for so many, however, it can get extremely crowded, making both tables and servers hard to come by (which is not to say that the latter don't try, just that they're sometimes overwhelmed). Note, too, that as the hour draws on, the place assumes more of a bar atmosphere.
