Arugula Description:
This modern bistro offers a menu full of surprises. The cuisine is inspired by the flavors of the Mediterranean, but ingredients hail from around the world: seared ahi with coriander-scented baby spinach and oven-roasted tomatoes, and a "napoleon" of roasted eggplant and wonton with sweet red onions, tomatoes, feta, watercress and tahini. Desserts are equally interesting, from the croissant bread pudding to the lemon curd-filled butter cake. Although located on West Hartford's restaurant row, Arugula is about as quiet and relaxed as it could be---a good spot for an intimate dinner for two.
