EatBar Description:
The stepchild or maybe the younger sibling of Tallula Restaurant, to which EatBar is intrinsically attached, is noteworthy for its laid-back barroom atmosphere---actually, it may be more bar than eatery---and its short but sweet menu. On offer are more barroom goodies, from sliders (the EatBar baby burger), a decadent crumb-crusted piece of fried pork belly on grits, and marinated lamb kebabs with tzatziki sauce. Those are just little temptations to propel you forward to the supper dishes, a short selection of chicken on a waffle, steamed mussels, and the Roseda Farms EatBurger. Perched on its soft roll and accompanied by pickle slices and tomatoes, this is one juicy patty, and you'd best order a side of the crunchy fries. You won't find much excuse to really bypass dessert, and one of the best offerings this side of the Pecos River is the thick, chewy chocolate chip cookies turned into ice cream sandwiches, three big pieces per serving. The restaurant's motto says it all: An American GastroPub.
