Cafe Nouveau Description:
Set in a Spanish bungalow decorated Art Deco-style, Café Nouveau is popular with locals for breakfast and lunch. Dinner, too, is available several nights a week. This restaurant is off the beaten path, a bit east of downtown, so it's generally not crowded with tourists. Most folks prefer eating on the small patio all year 'round. The prices aren't exactly cheap and the service can be languid, but breakfast has a large following here, due in large part to the fact that it's served all day and also because of the vanilla caramel syrup poured over the pancakes and waffles. Other dishes include Mexican specialties like chile verde with eggs and a California-inspired combo of bacon, apples and cheddar inside a frittata. The few lunch offerings include a coconut shrimp salad plus mahi mahi tacos. Dinner choices are more typically American cuisine. For appetizers, the baked Brie and the grilled romaine salad are nice touches. Mains run from pastas to chicken Marsala to peppercorn steak. Wine and soju cocktails are available.
