My wife, my two year old son, and I love Akira. We've tried several of the West End Sushi bars, and still keep coming back to them.
Freshest avacodo, every single time. Great wild salmon sashimi, delicious tuna takaki, and superb house boxes (teriyaki salmon is my wife's favorite).
Oh, and the gomae is tasty.
Plus extremely cheap prices. Worth a vist

I find that most Japanese restaurants are not owned by Japanese. Needless to say, the chefs are not Japanese either. Most of them are Hong Kongees, and I think that's why the Japanese food here are greasy (unless you go to an authentic Japanese restaurants operated by Japanese with tradition in mind). Nevertheless, the food is not bad at all. The lunch box is a bang for the buck. However, be warned, food is greasy. I find the sashimi not as fresh as I have desired. On the opposite side of the street, there's another same kind of Japanese restaurant. Maybe I'll try that one some other time.
