Review :
I took my husband for lunch and did not realize we spent two hours in Pastis(don't forget to check the meter). We both felt the food was absolutely delicious, well presented and the staff were very attentive. I had the wild salmon as a main course and it was nicely cooked and served with a risotto and asparagus. My husband had the t-bone steak which is a cut he never ordered and he was pleasantly surprised. He also enjoyed his French onion soup which was not salty like a lot of places. My lemon tart was scrumptuous and my husband's apple tart surrounded by a caramel sauce was heavenly.

My wife and I wanted to try this place for a whole on the recommendation of friends, but never got around to it for dinner. One summer morning, without kids, we ventured out to 4th for the usual, only to walk passed Bistro Pastis and decided, why not brunch? It ended up being a great choice... We entered the bistro and it was very busy, but we were only 2 and were luck enough to be seated within 5 minutes.

Our food arrived quickly... I had the Gruyere cheese omelet with hash browns and my wife had the ham and Gruyere crepes with pomme frites (fried). The flavors were great, and really hit the spot. The server was efficient, friendly and attentive to us, and the atmosphere was what you would expect in a 4th Avenue small French bistro.

Overall we were very pleased. The bill was around forty dollars, and with tip came to $45.

Review :
Pastis now called Bistro Pastis made for a delightful evening with friends. The food was very tasty and well presented in a comfortable and attractive setting. The service was a bit slow and may have been due to a full house the evening we were there. Overall it was a lovely evening and we will return.
