Skip's Description:
Chicago native Leo "Skip" Shababy lends his name to Skip's, founded in 1979, the spot for a hot dog with all the trimmings---kraut, cheese, slaw or homemade chili. The buns are good, too. While the "jumbo" dogs seem a little puny to us, there's no arguing about their good flavor. For variation, try the bratwurst with a pile of sautéed onions and spicy mustard. Thick milkshakes top off this classic casual dining experience. The chili is pretty good, too. Skip the burgers, if you'll forgive the pun. They're thin, grilled to a char and not much fun in our view.
