The Cadogan Arms Description:
Tom and Ed Martin are experts in taking old pubs and keeping their character but transforming them into smart venues that still attract the locals---albeit of a different ilk. They've done it with The Botanist in Sloane Square, now they've done it with The Cadogan Arms a little further west. Dark wood panels, old brick walls, the odd antler head, and silver candelabras on the tables set the scene. They've got the menu absolutely right as well: simple as in prawns with lemon, mayonnaise and sourdough that you peel yourself or wild mushroom tart with pecorino and truffle dressing for starters. Mains range from fish 'n' chips to veal chop with olive oil mash, spinach and braised shallots. Eton mess or gooseberry crumble exemplify the desserts.
