Il Cortile del Re, meaning the "courtyard of the king," is aptly named for its location; it also offers one of Charleston's sexiest meals. Luscious Italian dishes are served in one of two settings: an ivy-lined stone courtyard that's full of romantic tables perfect for those already on dates, and a sophisticated indoor wine bar with large-scale black-and-white photographs that is conducive for finding a future date. Carpaccio, marinated olives and first-rate cheese plates act as starters, and a more traditional array of main dishes include the signature wild boar.
