Olivers Twist Description:
Chef-owner Dan Braun's inviting neighborhood lounge, with its warm orange walls and dark wood interior, is perfect for a light meal or nibble, not to mention imbibing inventive cocktails. Sip the Fagin, a citrusy vodka cocktail with a dash of Pernod, or swizzle the Artful Dodger, a goes-down-easy concoction of vodka, orange juice and bitters. The limited but inspired small-plates menu includes the salty-sweet anchovy and caramelized onion pizzette and a tomato cappuccino, a creamy soup served in a dainty cup and anchored by a tiny grilled cheese brioche sandwich. For a balanced small-plates meal, add the sautéed kale accented with garlic and bursts of lemon. End with a bowl of sweet huckleberry "soup" surrounding a tart lemon sorbet.
