La Casa Sena has been one of Santa Fe's best restaurants since it opened, then serving what was referred to as nouveau Southwestern cuisine. The nouveau aspect has matured over the years, and if anything the cooking has gotten better. Still, many of the original dishes remain on the menu, including almond-crusted salmon, pan-seared duck breast with molasses and Idaho ruby trout baked in an adobe jacket. (The adobe is broken at the table and guests are welcome to take a souvenir home.) During lunch, don't miss the fish tacos. However, the cross-cultural pairings don't stop with the Southwest; the menu also blends Asian flavors.
