This aptly named downtown brewpub is a draw for students from nearby Cal Poly and offers live music quite often during the week, so eat early if you want to ensure quiet conversation. You'll find typical pub fare---Buffalo wings, potato skins, poppers, etc.---as well as dishes like hummus, a sausage trio, mac 'n' cheese, ribs, a host of salads that are all available as wraps, and a long list of above-average burgers and sandwiches. Signature beers include the Pale Ale, IPA, and even Blueberry Ale. To eat on a budget, look for lunch and evening specials, or enjoy the weekday happy hour, with half-price pints.
