Grandeho's Kamekyo Description:
This hidden treasure draws patrons from all over the city for its sparkling fresh fish. The look of Grandeho and the food set it apart. The walls have a gold tone, a lavender ceiling and light-wood sushi bar and canopy. Chef Yoshihiko Fujita, who worked at the acclaimed Kyo-ya in the Sheraton Palace Hotel, creates a good selection of vegetarian sushi, including asparagus with flying-fish roe (tobiko), plus interesting combinations of pickled and fresh vegetables. Many of the rolls feature cooked rather than raw fish; good choices are the smoked salmon and fried soft-shell crab.
