Boardwalk Bistro Description:
Boardwalk Bistro's lunch menu, ranging from corned beef and Swiss to Syrian pitas with lamb, only begins to hint at the eclecticism of the dinner offerings. With the Mediterranean basin as a core, appetizers, tapas and small plates encompass such diversity as a medjool date salad with prosciutto and skewered lamb kebabs. The appearance of a chef's tasting menu also tips one off to dinner's loftier aspirations. The four- or five-course meal may even be had with a flight of wines selected from owner and certified sommelier Barbara Hunt's wine list; it's as all-encompassing as the menu with particular depth in France and Spain. Individual entrées available in the pleasant dining room ringed by tree-shaded decks include lamb tagine with apricots and couscous and breast of duck topped with duck confit. Monday night jams and the Irish band or blues duo that might be playing on a Friday or Saturday night only add to the globe-trotting gusto of the place.
