Mix Downtown Rooftop Lounge Description:
Part restaurant and part nightclub, Mix is the latest venture by the founders of the neighboring Park Downtown entertainment complex. Like the Park, Mix is sophisticated and modern, with design worthy of any major metropolis. Plush bench seating spreads across the skylight-domed back wall, upholstered chairs and wooden tables dot the center, while cozy private booths line the perimeter. The large rooftop patio, overlooking the street below, features a bar and fire pits. Favorites off the consistently good small plates menu include the ahi poke---tender morsels of fish coated with a spicy soy dressing and served with crispy taro chips; Korean barbecue beef skewers, doused with tangy Asian spices and accompanied by a tart green papaya salad; and Kobe beef sliders, decadent mini-burgers topped with caramelized onions. For dessert, indulge in the junk food platter, loaded with house-made cookies, fudge and cotton candy. Stick around after dinner, when the lights go down, the music goes up and the tables and chairs are pushed aside to make room for a dance floor.
