With a revamped menu, Rubicon has survived the battle of the brewpubs in downtown Sacramento. In a typical pub setting, the eatery serves up appetizers, salads, sandwiches and even full-size entrées, all at reasonable prices and without the pretension of other places. Starters include the expected wings, potato skins and onion rings, while mains include a number of sandwiches and burgers. For something a bit more upscale, try the grilled pork tenderloin or portobello pesto pasta. Complement it with a microbrew, such as the Monkey Knife Fight Pale Ale.
