The stacked stone, brick and dark polished wood complement a variety of Art Deco lamps and fixtures, and big, comfy booths are luxuriously private. Start your dining with almond-rosemary chicken satay or a spinach artichoke dip with homemade potato chips. The something-for-everyone entrée menu includes baby-back ribs, steamed sea bass with braised spinach, Dover sole with artichokes, shrimp over linguine and some chicken offerings. If the steakhouse décor puts you in the mood for beef, choose from a filet with a beautifully roasted red pepper, prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes, a bourbon strip steak or a grilled rib-eye. Wine is poured generously for a reasonable price although service can sometimes drag. The list is heavy on California selections, almost all available by bottle or the glass. A pianist will play your favorites.
