Tucked among all the international restaurants of Glenwood South lies a glimpse of Ireland. A cozy fireplace warms one corner; a thatched-roof cottage creates a setting in another; low stone walls evoke pastures crisscrossing the room; and Gaelic street signs point the way to distant Irish towns. Tir na nOg forms a collage of caricatures of Irish culture. But the dark, creamy-capped Guinness is authentic, and the food is satisfying if you choose carefully. Try the beef Wellington, the bangers and mash, the smoked salmon, a proper Scotch egg, or the shepherd's pie. To reinforce the mood, there's live music---including traditional Irish---most nights, although rock music also takes the stage some evenings.
