Before dining along Easy Passyunk in South Philly was trendy, Marra's was there. Family owned since 1927, it is a good family-friendly spot for brick-oven pizza, complete with old school crust that never disappoints. You can't go wrong with anything from the antipasti menu, from clams casino to the caprese salad when it's the height of tomato season. The mussels and baked pasta casseroles are dependable and the portions are huge. This is the real deal---the kind of place those chain Italians are trying to be---but just can't replicate.
