Cantina Los Caballitos Description:
When the chips and salsa are tasty, it's always a good sign. Families with kids and a friendly crowd of pierced and tattooed locals rub elbows at this neighborhood spot. Start with a tower of loaded cheesy nachos---you can even add on vegan beef, a nod to the many available veggie items. Or try the tender goat tacos with onions and cilantro or a mammoth black bean mahi mahi burrito. On the lighter side, a grilled nopales cactus salad delivers antioxidants to spare, along with veggies and pumpkin seeds in paprika vinaigrette. The huevos rancheros are good for brunch. The bar gets mobbed for the late-night happy hour.
