Even the sign outside reminds you of a quaint Irish village pub. Beer-battered fish&chips and the beer-battered pickles are the house specialty. Many specialty imports and microbrewed beers to choose from on tap. Menu choices include wings, burgers, steaks and the Irish favorite of corned Beef and hash. Offers many appetizer choices and a full menu. Open Daily 11AM - 1AM, kitchen closes at 10PM. Parking can be a problem in this part of Worthington and due to popularity expect some wait time for a table in the evenings (especially the weekend). The decor includes many old Irish and British artifacts. There are several Old Bag of Nail Pubs in the Columbus metro area, some in this small chain take reservations.
The Old Bag of Nails is named for the London pub where Paul McCartney met his first wife, Linda Eastman. Now, the owner has continued the theme with the goal of serving the best fish 'n' chips this side of the Atlantic. For starters, try the deep-fried beer-battered pickles. Entrées include shepherd's pie, shrimp Alfredo and scallops Thermador. Besides the food, patrons come for the good Scotch whiskey and the wide selection of imported beers and ales. If you've got room for dessert after all that eating and drinking, the deep-fried Snickers bar is a must.
