Quaint and cozy, Joey's is a modest Italian eatery that has been serving a neighborhood clientele for decades. The service is good, but not exceptional; same goes for the food. Stick with the pizzas, since they are the most consistently appealing option. Try the Terentina, a Sicilian pie topped with roasted red peppers, fresh basil, chopped clams and Romano cheese or the Pompeii with artichoke hearts, hot peppers, chopped tomatoes and mozzarella. Other mains---cavatelli with meatballs, chicken Parmigiana, lasagna---augment the ever-changing daily specials. Portions are generous, and all meals are accompanied by warm Italian bread and crisp salad.
