Easily the best and highest quality artisanal pizza anywhere in greater Charleston comes from the ovens at Evo. A joint venture from apprentices who graduated from Charleston's best bakery and one of the area's most innovative restaurants, the eatery sources all ingredients from organic and local suppliers. This attention to detail produces striking salads, house-made sausages, and the freshest sauces and toppings for the chewy, nicely charred, wood-fired pizzas. Some desserts, such as mocha mousse, are done in-house, although gelati and other desserts are outsourced. Exotic and imported beers, domestic micro-brews, and a small but well-selected wine list are also available.
