The original location of a small, upscale chain of steakhouses. Try the steaks for which it is famous or the fresh local seafood dishes and daily specials. There are other locations in Manhattan and Washington, DC.
The rhythm of the piano player for whom the restaurant is named remains at this swinging American steakhouse, brought to Bridgehampton to do its classic Manhattan menu. Come nighttime, the bar scene is alive with locals and Manhattan moguls alike. During summer, reservations for dinner are a must, and understandably so: with wicker chairs, huge bay windows opening on Main Street and a laid-back atmosphere, it's all but made for that time of year. The sizeable porterhouse, always properly cooked, will satisfy your inner caveman, but the fragrant steamed mussels cooked in a parsley and white wine broth, while much more delicate, are equally satisfying. Diners lacking a desire for meat may choose from several creative salads and good sides of vegetables. Keep an eye out for the list of specials on the blackboard.
