Tommy's Cuisine Description:
Owner Tommy Andrade knows how to satisfy a garlic lover's palate, from the garlic-infused chicken Rosemarino to the soft-shell crab with crawfish pasta, and the Oysters Tommy. Since changing from Irene's Cuisine, named for Andrade's former wife, Tommy's has distinguished itself by adding a range of French Creole dishes to the menu, such as shrimp rémoulade, crab meat maison and fish meunière. Chef specialties run heavily toward seafood casseroles, among them the crab meat au gratin or another bubbling tureen of shrimp, crab and crawfish baked with eggplant and herbs. The interior is clubby and intimate, and the food is served by a team of seasoned, professional waiters.
