You have to like a place that makes first-rate margaritas, and even delivers them to your hotel or doorstep if that's what you need. Tostones, quesadillas and ropa vieja are all the rage at Country Flame. For as many years as they can remember, New Orleanians have been patronizing this funky French Quarter eatery for the variety of ethnic cuisines, and the slightly addictive seasonings. Spanish, Cuban and Mexican dishes are offered along with a surprisingly tasty assortment of good old American barbecued food, as well. In a town not particularly known for barbecue, the baby-back ribs here are a standout menu item. The T-bone and rib-eye steaks are not bad, either. Daily specials run the gamut from Mexican pizzas to enchilada dinners to crispy fried shrimp platters.
