Begué's takes its Sunday brunch buffets seriously, offering a decadent display of banquet standards and Creole dishes. The result is an uncommonly popular buffet frequented by nearly as many locals as hotel guests. At other times of the week, Begué's à la carte offerings are consistently satisfying, so you might find such fare as a Louisiana-style bouillabaisse, combining Gulf fish, shrimp, oysters and frogs' legs. The Royal Sonesta Hotel's courtyard provides a lush backdrop to the dining room. On Sundays, breakfast is served until 10 a.m., before brunch begins.
