The Bound'ry Restaurant Description:
The eclectic, flavor-packed menu at this Midtown kitchen darts all over to please many palates. The room looks like it was decorated by Salvador Dalí, and every corner vibrates with some small treasure: a fresco, a pretty light fixture, an unusual piece of art, and an upstairs bar worth a visit just to check out the Arabian Nights motif. Dishes draw from the remote culinary corners of the globe, often tempered by a Southern regional touch. Many diners make a meal from several of the tapas, such as the lobster BLT pizza, tuna nori roll, barbecue egg roll and Korean-style barbecued sirloin. Entrées are usually more traditional, but certainly not conventional. Both the beer and wine lists are intriguing, and this is one of the few places in town where cigars are welcome (they even stock a few selections). While there are some pedestrian offerings on the wine list, many excellent choices stand out, and the half bottle list of Pinot Noirs is designed for serious enjoyment. The philosophy here is that dining should be an experience, not just a meal.
