Spris Description:
Baby sister to Tiramesu on Lincoln Road, Spris is the more attractive sibling with as much personality and a little more substance. While Tiramesu is good for home-style pasta and not much else, Spris is good all around. In addition to the same wholesome pizzas it serves next door, you’ll find a couple of pedestrian salads and beautiful antipasti. Smoked salmon crostini with warm Brie is flawlessly and simultaneously salty, creamy, delicate and crispy. Cured beef carpaccio is ruby red beneath a salad of Parmesan, fresh oranges and arugula. Fresh mozzarella on the wood oven-baked pizza porcini bubbles beneath ripe tomato, porcini mushrooms and arugula. Doors open until 3 a.m. make this a splendid solution to the post-midnight munchies.
