Los Bravos Description:
Los Bravos purveys standard dishes of Mexican and Tex-Mex cooking, but at a quality level uncommon in the genre. Fresh ingredients and good flavors make a difference, and even the tortilla chips taste singularly good because they're made in-house at each location. Most notable, the fajitas, with onions, bell peppers and tomatoes, come with refried beans---the shrimp version is a standout. And for a dollar extra, you can get them with carnitas (pork chunks). The combination dinners are a super deal, and there are more than two dozen from which to choose. Guacamole is fresh tasting and chunky. The bar offers a wide variety of tequilas, including reposados, añejos (aged longer than reposados) and white (or silver) tequilas. Vegetarians have a lot to choose from, including well-seasoned beans that are a cut above the usual.
